YNA is currently managing the recruitment of permanent roles for the Cohuna District Hospital – a regional hospital near the Murray River, approximately three hours from Melbourne and less than 30 minutes from Kerang. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team and become an integral part of the local community.

Position Available

Cohuna District Hospital is offering a permanent position with flexible part-time options (0.1fte to 0.9fte available) for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with demonstrated experience in a Residential Aged Care Facility.

Requirements for consideration:

– Ahpra registration
– Minimum two years’ experience working in a Residential Aged Care Facility
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
– Commitment to ongoing professional development
– Full working rights in Australia.

The Hospital

The hospital has 12 beds and includes a 2-bed Urgent Care centre, a 3-chair Dialysis Unit, and a Day Procedure Unit that operates weekly. The facility also has a co-located 16-bed Aged Care Unit. The nursing team works collaboratively to provide the best quality care for their local community. Currently, a major building project is underway, and upon completion in late 2024, it will include a new theater, acute ward, and aged care facility.
