YNA is searching for nurses, carers and other health staff to work in regional and remote areas of the Northern Territory (NT). Opportunities are available across the NT including in the Tiwi Islands.
Tiwi Islands
Working in the Tiwi Islands is richly rewarding. And adventurous – no two weekends will be the same.
Sitting 80km north of Darwin in the beautiful Arafura Sea, the islands are home to the Tiwi people who have a strong affiliation with their land, sea and country, and a distinctive culture and language.
There is plenty to do and see: enjoy uninterrupted coastlines, diverse wildlife, abundant marine life (including sea turtles and dolphins) and world-famous art. For football lovers, a major annual event is the unmissable Tiwi Islands Football League Grand Final.
Regional/remote assignments – the details
We offer various work assignments ranging between 2 – 12 weeks in hospitals, small healthcare facilities and community settings throughout the Top End region of the NT including the Tiwi Islands.
Accommodation and travel to and from the location is covered.
You will be supported by our team throughout the entire duration of the work assignment. Our team have many years of healthcare and management experience including working in regional and remote communities across Australia.
